Quisenberry & Kabateck are representing a dozen employees of the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services who have filed a lawsuit against the County of Los Angeles. The employees state that they and seven other employees have tested positive for the potentially deadly bacteria that causes Legionnaires' disease. The bacteria is found in contaminated water supplies and may spread through a building's plumbing, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.
The complaint states that the building is "a dangerous public nuisance and unsafe for occupancy."
