CLASS ACTION LITIGATION IN CALIFORNIA CONFERENCE
Several of The Quisenberry Law firm attorneys will speak at Bridgeport's Class Action Litigation in California Conference. John N. Quisenberry will present an overview of class and representative actions, Robert Drexler will provide the plaintiff's perspective on class certification and Susan Abitanta will discuss what is a good class action from the plaintiff's perspective.
Seminar summary:
The new Class Action Fairness Act of 2005 federalizes a great number of class actions that would have been litigated in state court. What affect will this have on corporations faced with exposure and on attorneys litigating class actions? This program will cover the latest developments in the law of federal class action procedure and California class actions.
The class action requires exceptional skills in managing an enormous amount of data, numerous parties, complex legal issues and new information technology. This workshop is designed to give the practicing attorney and in-house counsel a comprehensive overview of the class action process, with an emphasis on the new Act.
This one day program will be a valuable resource for attorneys, corporate counsel and risk managers. The program includes breakfast, breaks and handouts. Both plaintiff and defense perspectives will be explored.
