Green, et al. v. Big Lots Stores
Mr. Green was a Store Manager at a Big Lots retail store. He did substantially the same job as the hourly employees and had very little, if any, discretion regarding management of the store. He was not paid for the overtime hours that he worked. Mr. Green retained The Quisenberry Law Firm to bring suit against Big Lots, Pic N Save and related companies. We filed suit on his behalf, as well as on behalf of all other Store and Assistant Managers working in California, alleging that these managers were misclassified as exempt from being paid overtime. In February 2004, we successfully settled this lawsuit for $10 million.
